Nutrient Deficiencies
You can eat the most nutritious foods and still have numerous vitamin, mineral, amino acid and fatty acid deficiencies. Even in my longevity medicine consulting clients, many of whom eat very healthfully, I see this more often than not. Amongst my oncology patients and survivors, this problem is even more prevalent. As noted in the graphic (upper), there are many causes and consequences of nutrient deficiencies. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no way to know if you have them without lab testing. Once identified, we can make targeted interventions to address the causes and the specific deficiencies (as indicated in this sample report in yellow and red in the lower graphic).
I exclusively use the NutrEval test, the most comprehensive functional and nutritional assessment available. The NutrEval FMV® is both a blood and urine test that evaluates over 125 biomarkers and assesses the body’s functional need for 40 antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, amino acids, digestive support, and other select nutrients. Personalized recommendations for nutrients are determined by using an algorithm based on the patient’s test findings.
In-office (GenesisCare Northwest) consulting and testing is available only for oncology patients. Contact us for an in-office integrative oncology consultation: 509-987-1800.
Remote testing is also available for anyone who is interested: https://ioeprogram.com/…/micronutrient-test-vitamin-d…/
